Premium quality bean. Premium quality service. Experience the Natural Goodness that is Chippewa Valley Bean

For over forty years, our family has nurtured an honest, sincere relationship with our growers by doing everything we can to bring a premium quality to their kidney beans. It's this commitment to our growers that has made Chippewa Valley Bean the only kidney bean processing plant in the area still under its original ownership.

We are a family of farmers. Lifetimes of knowledge and experience goes into bringing a "Chippewa Valley" quality to our grower's light and dark kidney beans. More importantly, as farmers we understand the challenges of a bad growing season or a cold, wet harvest. In the best and worst times, a grower should never be at the mercy of their elevator, but rather genuinely respected by their processor.

Chippewa Valley Bean demonstrates that respect by adhering to strict processes that guarantee the absolute best possible return on our grower's beans, our overwhelming accommodation to time tables and emergencies, and our complete honesty in grading and processing the kidney beans our growers entrust to us.

I have delivered beans to Chippewa for over 30 years. We grow kidney beans in one of the most hostile environments of any of the growers. These harsh conditions as you know lead to extremely low moisture beans which are very susceptible to skin checks. No other processor has the equipment to preserve the quality of my beans. " I have delivered beans to Chippewa for over 30 years. We grow kidney beans in one of the most hostile environments of any of the growers. These harsh conditions as you know lead to extremely low moisture beans which are very susceptible to skin checks. No other processor has the equipment to preserve the quality of my beans. It’s no secret that many things can happen to our bean crop such as hail producing odd-shaped beans, fog right at harvest producing sprouts, or too much rain at harvest producing muddy beans. Chippewa has handled all of these problems for me. Never once have my beans been turned away because of flaws in quality. Lastly, in a world of tight profit margins, Chippewa is always able to pay us for our product.....timely!!!

" Working with Cindy and Russell for the last 40 years has been almost like working with family. They have allowed us a lot of flexibility in harvest timing, which is especially important in our business because we have to harvest beans early to accommodate other crops in our rotation. Chippewa Valley stays in close contact with us throughout the year, whether it is to share information on new chemical and crop practices or provide honest perspectives on what the market is doing. We value our close relationship and open communication with Chippewa Valley and look forward to working with them for many years to come!”
